On the afternoon of January 24, the Bio-based Materials Industrial Park project was officially signed at the Taixing Economic Development Zone. During the ceremony, Zhongjiang Tai'E entered into a cooperation agreement for a 200,000-ton/year bio-based polyurethane coating industrialization project. The event was attended by distinguished guests, including Zheng Yuguo, Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; Zhuang Yi, Chief Expert of Sinopec; Wan Wenhua, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Taizhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor; Song Qinbo, Chairman of Zhongjiang International Group; and Guo Kai, Vice President of Nanjing Tech University.

Mr. Zheng Yuguo noted that strategically pivoting "New Quality Productive Forces" toward green bio-manufacturing—and expanding the share of low-carbon, renewable bio-based chemicals within the national economy—is of profound strategic significance. He emphasized that the bio-based materials industry represents an emerging sector defined by "New Quality Productive Forces." He further expressed his hope that Taizhou would focus on building a robust industrial ecosystem and exploring new pathways for "Government-Industry-University-Research-Finance" collaboration. The goal, he said, is to rapidly evolve the industrial park into a specialized, high-level hub for bio-based materials with significant influence both domestically and internationally.
Mr. Wan Wenhua noted that the signing of the major project marks another success in Taizhou’s drive to attract key industrial investments and presents a critical opportunity to accelerate the development of future-oriented industries. The Taixing Economic Development Zone, one of China’s earliest fine chemical industrial parks, ranked among the nation’s top three chemical parks last year, offering a solid foundation and full-scale infrastructure for the bio-based materials industry. Moving forward, Taizhou will provide full-lifecycle policy support and end-to-end premium services to back project construction and corporate growth, working closely with partners to bring this win-win collaboration to new heights.
Mr. Song Qinbo said that the Group has partnered with Nanjing Tech University to establish a joint laboratory focused on the research and commercialization of bio-based materials and micro-chemical technologies. The collaboration has enabled the development and safe, efficient, and controllable production of new green building materials, including bio-based polyurethane anti-corrosion coatings, eco-friendly flooring, and insulation materials.
These innovations offer a low-cost alternative to traditional petrochemical products, filling a domestic gap with core technologies that lead the international market. The launch of the Bio-based Materials Industrial Park brings together all key elements—R&D, manufacturing, application scenarios, capital, and high-level talents—positioning it as a landmark for green building material industry in Jiangsu Province.
Looking ahead, Zhongjiang International Group will continue to leverage its strengths to develop market-leading bio-based green building materials. By building a powerful brand, the Group aims to drive high-quality growth in Taizhou and across the entire province.
The Bio-based Materials Industrial Park in the Taixing Economic Development Zone represents a total investment of 10.6 billion RMB, spanning an area of approx. 33 hectares. Focused on cutting-edge bio-based innovation, the park is anchored by a robust production blueprint, including annual capacities of 200,000 tons of bio-based polyurethane coatings, and 100,000 tons each of bio-based spandex raw materials, nylon elastomers, and nylon fibers.
Upon reaching full capacity, the project is projected to generate 20 billion RMB in annual sales. By seamlessly integrating the upstream and downstream segments of the bio-based value chain, the park will catalyze a powerful industrial cluster. This initiative drives Taixing's bid to become a leading bio-based materials hub in the Yangtze River Delta.
The signing ceremony was attended by key dignitaries, including Tu Yaxing, Deputy General Manager of Zhongjiang International Group; Bao Ya, Secretary-General of the Taizhou Municipal Government; Liu Wenrong, Party Secretary and Mayor of Taixing; and Zhu Weixiang, Vice Mayor and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Taixing Economic Development Zone.
